I am almost done with love letters to the dead. I love reading. At one part when Laurel is writing another letter to Amy Winehouse saying how her song rehab came on in the store. Laurel said ” A lot of your songs, even the saddest or the maddest ones, sound happy like you’re telling a hard truth but backing it up with a dance tune. It’s part of what I love about you, how you can be defiant, heartbroken, or broken open, and still be bright about it” Well i listen to her song “Rehab” as well and i see what you meant when you wrote that part. i think this story is amazing, i may have to reread it sometime
